One of the challenges that I have faced in our homeschooling life is organizing my abundance of curriculum. (I tend to over-buy, PLUS… with having two girls seven years apart I’m holding onto a LOT of material.) If you’ve ever gone to a homeschool convention and bought a book, only to go home and find it sitting on your shelf, you should understand my pain.
I also have become pretty eclectic over the years. Especially when it comes to language arts. I love to pull my favorite materials together and create my own scope and sequence. Oftentimes I get carried away and we end up with too much language arts.
NOW I am attempting to list my curriculum in Edu-Track under Student Data.
- Click: Curriculum
- List each piece of curriculum that you plan to use. Be sure to enter the start date based on the school year that you will be using the book for. I list most books as August 1, other smaller pieces need to be staggered out every couple of months for them to show up in the order that I want to use them. For example, we started to use Critical Thinking’s Word Roots B1 in the fall of 2009 and started Word Roots B2 in January 2010.
I’m just getting started! Hope to keep you updated in the future…
